Aunt B's Farm
Aunt B's Farm is a great place for field trips or visits with children.

The Animals

We have a variety of animals including chickens, goats and cows.

We keep Lowline cattle. Lowlines are known for their moderate size, easy temperament, motherhood qualities, and above all the ability to thrive on pasture alone. Lowlines are also recognized for their richly marbled meat and excellent taste. Currently, we sell one-half or whole steers, custom cut and packaged to specification, available on a reserved basis. A limited quantity is available yearly. Call to discuss, or come by and see our healthy, well-kept herd for yourself.

We keep an assortment of brown layer chickens ranging from Rhode Island Reds, Whites, New Hampshire Reds, etc. Our chickens are turned out daily to roam the pastures, bask in the sun and scratch and pick. The eggs have a much darker yolk than you'll find in stores and a taste that eveyone says "is the best I've ever had." Try one and you'll agree.

On the farm you will see our Nubian goats. These goats are known for their milking qualities. We also have Boer goats which are known for their meat qualities. We have some crosses as well. Check in the store - you might find some fresh goat milk or cheese available.

You will also find turkeys and cats running around the farmyard.

The Garden

Melons at Aunt B's FarmKnow anything better than a real homegrown tomato? Beginning in May and lasting until mid-July it's our local delicacy. Along with tomatoes we raise peppers, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, okra, sweet corn, peas, beans, herbs, watermelons and cantaloupes. All of our garden bounty is utilized in Aunt B's Kitchen daily for lunch and dinner, and is offered for sale in the produce wagon out front. Check out Brent's fruit trees. He really enjoys them and he'll be happy to tell you about all of them.

The PondThe Pond

Our pond is stocked with Georgia Giant bream and black crappie. We have a soft spot for taking kids fishing; just call to arrange a time. Fishing is catch and release only. Wild ducks and geese have decided the pond is a good home. You never know what you'll see around the farm.

Hay for Sale

Weed-free and fertilized small square bales of either Bahaia or Ranchero Frio Bermuda for sale. Price fluctuates depending on weather and market conditions. Call for a sample or quote.
